Hydro-Processing

Hydro-Processing Distillation

Hydroprocessing at Meerbusch Too Refinery is a key process that involves the use of hydrogen to treat raw feedstocks, such as crude oil or heavier fractions, to remove impurities like sulfur, nitrogen, and metals. This is done through processes such as hydrodesulfurization (HDS) and hydrocracking, where hydrogen reacts with the feedstock under high pressure and temperature in the presence of a catalyst. The result is cleaner, higher-quality fuels like ultra-low sulfur diesel (ULSD) and gasoline, which meet stringent environmental standards.
